Gazelle ter Elzen demonstrates why BWP is the best show jumping studbook in the world

These past few days, Belgian Warmblood Horses impressed the crowds at the CHI *5 Competition in Geneva. They did not only win several important classes at the show, but an impressive amount of BWP horses also secured top spots in the rankings.

On Saturday afternoon, Stefaan Delabie was honored for breeding the best show jumper in the world, BWP’s Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker). In the evening, some of the best show jumpers worldwide faced off during the 'Rolex top ten final'. Lorenzo de Luca, who is also the rider of Halifax van het Kuizebos, placed fifth with Ensor de Litrange LXII (Nabab De Rêve x Mr. Blue), a BWP horse bred by Luc Coosemans.

Sunday brought even more BWP successes. In the Rolex Grand Prix jump-off, five contenders fought for the title. But the 11-year-old mare Gazelle ter Elzen (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Indoctro | Breeder: Heuninckx - Van Hoornyck) proved to be strongest. Gazelle and her rider Kent Farrington took home the victory in a most impressive way. Like BWP is number one worldwide when it comes to show jumping studbooks, Kent Farrington owns the top spot in the FEI Longines Rankings. Coincidence?
