The BWP National Elite Foal Championship has taken place and that means that the next BWP event is already showing up : the BWP Online Foal Auction.

Top collection

Like in the past years, a great number of jumping and dressage bred foals who obtained 75 percent at a selection event, managed to qualify for the auction; the same happened for several BRp foals. As a result, we can again offer a nice collection which will be communicated soon.

Good work

In the past years there was much enthusiasm for those top bred foals, both here and abroad. Last year, the international Swiss rider Domenico Morosoli bought the foal Ulfberht van het Strateneinde, a son of Don VHP, bred by Guido Poelmans. Morosoli is still well-pleased with his purchase. “I am very satisfied with the foal I bought last year. He now is in the pasture together with other foals I bought. In the spring, we let him jump a small fence and that looked good. Now he gets all the time to grow up peacefully. He seems to develop very well. I have to say that the foal was in excellent condition when he arrived here. The breeder really did a good job” smiled Morosoli.

As natural as possible

There are some reasons why the Swiss rider was focused on Ulfberht. “I like foals born out of their natural mother, so not via embryotransfer or ICSI. Then, of course, I first look at the foal himself. Foals have to move in a supple and natural way and preferably show much expression. If, moreover, they have a good pedigree, like Ulfberht, then I am convinced.

BWP bloodlines

The BWP Online Foal Auction surely is every year on the agenda of Morosoli who constantly is looking out for interesting blood. “The Belgian breeding is of a high level. The breeders succeeded in combining sports blood and yet breeding modern horses. So I am always fond of Belgian bloodlines, like you find them in BWP and thus also in the BWP Online Foal Auction.”

When

The auction starts October 1, The first group will be closed October 4, the second group October 5. We keep you in suspense until next week for …. the collection!
