BWP occupies the complete podium in the grand prix of Rome
The 5-star CSIO last weekend in Rome was completely dominated by BWP. After several wins on Thursday and Friday, the BWP horses continued to be successful on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the 9yo Ilena S (VDL Groep Verdi x Calido I – breeder Sylvain De Wreede) won the 1.50/1.55m competition under the French rider Mathieu Billot. Lorenzo de Luca ended second on the stallion Halifax van het Kluizebos (Heartbreaker  x Fetiche du Pas – breeder Stefaan Delabie). The final of the Youngster Tour  was also won by a BWP horse, i.e. Kira van het Bokkenhof (Emerald x Querlibet Hero), bred by Johan Fierens and ridden by Gudrun Pateet. On Sunday morning, Shane Sweetnam ended second in a 1.45m class on Indra van de Oude Heihoef (Casantos x Action Breaker – breeder N.V. De Oude Heihoef). Finally, the GP podium was completely BWP! Jur Vrieling on the 11yo Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest Nabab de Rêve x Darco – breeder Stoeterij ’t Merelsnest) was the only one to remain double clear and thus win the Grand Prix. The places 2 and 3 were occupied by BWP horses who had contributed to the Italian victory in the Nations Cup on Friday : Alberto Zorzi became second on the 12yo Fair Light van ‘t Heike (Vigo d’ Arsouilles x Darco – breeder Karel Boonen); the third place was  for Lorenzo de Luca and Ensor de Litrange LXIII (Nabab de Rêve x Mr. Blue – breeder Luc Coosemans).
