Pieter Devos and Espoir win the World Cup in Bordeaux

Pieter Devos took the victory in the World Cup in Bordeaux.  Devos with his BWP mount Espoir was the only Belgian rider among the ten participants in the jump off. Devos not only  finished first in the World Cup but in this way he also made sure he can start in the World Cup Final in Paris in a few weeks from now. Espoir was bred by Johan Lannoo out of the combination Surcouf de Revel  x Laudanum xx.

Bordeaux was a success story for our studbook. Harrie Smolders and Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly) won also the Grand Prix in Bordeaux; a new victory for BWP Ambassador Emerald, bred by Bert Van den Branden in Sint-Niklaas.  Emerald convinces again and again, not only with his own performances, but also with those of his progeny. Emerald  belongs to the BWP performance mare line 69. His dam Carthina (by Carthago) not only gave us Emerald, but also Diamantina van ‘t Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly), Fragile van ‘t Meulenhof (Calato) and Ilusionata van ‘t Meulenhof (Lord), all of them performing at the highest level . Carthina  is also the dam of the promising BWP approved stallion Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof (Denzel van ‘t Meulenhof).
